Meeting with my Academic Advisor

Most Academic Advisors on the UConn Waterbury Campus use UConn’s Nexus platform to schedule advising appointments.  When you plan on meeting with your Academic Advisor, please consider the following:

  • Do not schedule an advising appointment during one of your classes- Advisors want you to attend classes, not miss them.
  • Students are encouraged to contact their Academic Advisors whenever they have a question or concern.  Email is the preferred method of connecting with your Academic Advisor- however, phone calls and drop-ins (when available) are other ways to connect.
  • All students are encouraged to meet with their Academic Advisor at least once in a semester (some students have Advising Holds on their account and are required to meet with their Academic Advisor prior to registering for classes- Directions on How to Check Your Holds
Student Admininstration Guides/Helpful Tips

It’s a central hub for keeping track of academic records and university-related financial obligations, helping students stay organized throughout their academic journey.  Please use the links below for guides on how to use the most common features of the Student Admin System.
